Wyoming, Christensen agree to five-year deal
Jan 13, 2012 - 9:07 AM Laramie, WY (Sports Network) - Wyoming head football coach Dave Christensen has agreed to new five-year contract through the 2016 season.Christensen, who has been at the helm at Wyoming for three years, will make a base salary of $190,008 per year. He recently was named the 2011 Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Cowboys to an 8-5 record.
"My staff has worked extremely hard to build this program the right way," Christensen said. "We're very excited about the future of our program, and with the support of Wyoming fans we feel like we can continue to grow and reach new heights."
Christensen spent the eight seasons prior to 2009 as an offensive assistant coach with Missouri while also spending time with Toledo, Idaho State and Washington.
