O-lineman expected transfer to Georgia State
May 16, 2012 - 11:50 PM Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Former University of Kentucky defensive lineman Nermin Delic intends to transfer to Georgia State, Panthers football coach Bill Curry said Wednesday. The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Delic plans to enroll for Georgia State's summer session in June. He played in eight games for Kentucky as a true freshman in 2010, but did not play last year because of an injury.
The native of Bosnia, who moved to the United States with his family when he was 6, was a Georgia all-state prep player in 2009 at Northwest Whitfield High School. He was named the Region 7-AAAA Defensive Player of the Year.
"This is another great addition for our program," Curry said. "We are thrilled to add an outstanding player and person like Nermin Delic, especially at a position of need."
