Northern Iowa extends series with Iowa State

Sep 18, 2012 - 7:04 PM Cedar Falls, IA (Sports Network) - Northern Iowa has extended its football series with Iowa State with three additional games, the Missouri Valley Football Conference university announced Tuesday.

The series will be played in 2019, 2021 and 2023 as well as the previously scheduled years of 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The games will be played in Ames.

UNI has four all-time wins versus Iowa State (1900, 1992, 1994 and 2007).

The two schools met most recently a year ago, with Iowa State earning a 20-19 victory.
