North Dakota's Hardin sets Big Sky record in win over Montana
Oct 21, 2012 - 12:14 AM Grand Forks, ND (Sports Network) - Wide receiver Greg Hardin finished off a record-setting performance by catching a 32-yard touchdown pass with 12 seconds left, lifting North Dakota past Montana, 40-34, on Saturday.Hardin set the Big Sky Conference receiving record with 333 yards, 18 more than the 315 yards that Northern Colorado's Patrick Walker had in a game last season. Hardin caught 12 passes and three touchdowns.
UND's Braden Hanson completed 42-of-61 passes for 660 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions.
UND evened its record at 4-4 and improved to 2-3 in the Big Sky.
Shay Smithwick-Hann took over at quarterback for Montana and completed 26- of-39 pass attempts for 306 yards and three touchdowns.
The Grizzlies fell to 3-5 and 1-4. The must win their final three games to avoid their first losing season in 26 years.
