Report: Spanier facing charges
Nov 1, 2012 - 7:27 AM (Sports Network) - State Attorney General Linda Kelly is expected to announce Thursday that former Penn State University President Graham Spanier has been charged in relation to the Jerry Sandusky scandal, according to a report by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.The Post Gazette is citing multiple anonymous sources in their report.
It states that Spanier will be charged with perjury and obstruction of justice.
Forced to resign as the school's president in the wake of charges being filed against Sandusky a year ago, Spanier has denied accusations that he was aware of sexual misconduct by Sandusky.
