Anders out as Murray State defensive coordinator
Jan 10, 2013 - 1:47 AM Murray, KY (Sports Network) - Murray State football coach Chris Hatcher announced Wednesday that defensive coordinator Ashley Anders will not return to the staff for the 2013 season.Anderson also had been the Racers' linebackers coach the last three seasons after following Hatcher to Murray State from Georgia Southern.
Murray State ranked last in the Ohio Valley Conference this season in scoring defense (41.4 ppg) and total defense (513 ypg).
"We met at the end of this past season and mutually decided to part ways," Hatcher said. "Ashley is a good friend and a good coach. He has been with me for 11 years and I appreciate the effort he has given over that time."
