Northern Iowa sets 12-game schedule in 2013

Feb 18, 2013 - 3:12 PM Cedar Falls, IA (Sports Network) - The University of Northern Iowa will play a 12-game football schedule this year, including six at home inside the UNI-Dome.

The season kicks off with an Aug. 31 visit to Iowa State, one of seven scheduled with the Cyclones through 2023.

UNI's home games are against Drake (Sept. 7) and McNeese State (Sept. 28) in non-conference action, and Southern Illinois (Oct. 12, Homecoming), South Dakota (Oct. 19), Youngstown State (Nov. 9) and Western Illinois (Nov. 23) within the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

Coach Mark Farley's squad is coming off a 5-6 season - its first losing mark since 2002.
