Former K-State coach Prince joins Rutgers' staff
Feb 19, 2013 - 6:45 PM Piscataway, NJ (Sports Network) - Former Kansas State head coach Ron Prince has been named the offensive coordinator at Rutgers.Scarlet Knights head coach Kyle Flood made the announcement Tuesday.
Prince held the top job at Kansas State from 2006-08, compiling a record of 17-20, which included a loss to Rutgers in the 2006 Texas Bowl. He took over after Bill Snyder retired and his dismissal led to Snyder's return.
After his run at K-State ended, Prince spent a year as special teams coordinator at Virginia. He then worked as assistant offensive line coach in the NFL for Indianapolis in 2010-11 and Jacksonville in 2012.
Prince was last a collegiate offensive coordinator from 2003-05 at Virginia.
Flood also promoted Dave Cohen from linebackers coach to defensive coordinator.
