LSU RB Hill arrested
Apr 28, 2013 - 1:14 AM Baton Rouge, LA (Sports Network) - LSU running back and last season's leading rusher Jeremy Hill was arrested Saturday morning and charged with simple battery, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.The newspaper reports the incident took place at an off-campus bar near the university. Citing an affidavit of probable cause, the newspaper reported a 20-year-old victim told police he was struck in the head several times and lost consciousness. The Times-Picayune reports Hill and another unidentified man were caught on video striking the victim.
Hill was then arrested, but the second attacker is reportedly still on the loose.
This would be a violation of Hill's probation. He pleaded guilty to carnal knowledge of a juvenile in January 2011, according to the newspaper.
As a freshman last season, Hill rushed for 755 yards and 12 touchdowns on 142 carries.
