Virginia QB Sims ruled ineligible
May 31, 2013 - 8:25 PM Charlottesville, VA (Sports Network) - University of Virginia head football coach Mike London announced on Friday that quarterback Phillip Sims is ineligible and will no longer be enrolled at the school.Sims recently completed his sophomore season in 2012 after he transferred from Alabama earlier last summer. This past fall, Sims played in all 12 games for the Cavaliers, including four starts, completing 132-of-231 passes for 1,426 yards and nine touchdowns.
Virginia finished with a 4-8 record in 2012, including a 2-6 mark in ACC play.
