Florida St. transfer OL Grosso ends up at Delaware
Aug 29, 2007 - 7:08 PM NEWARK, Delaware (Ticker) - Offensive lineman Anthony Grosso has completed a transfer from Florida State to Delaware, the Blue Hens announced on Wednesday. One of the top 20 players in New Jersey last fall, the 6-6, 290-pound Grosso is eligible to play for Delaware immediately. However, he will not travel with the team for Thursday's season opener at William & Mary.
After opting to play for the Seminoles over such schools as Rutgers, Purdue and Vanderbilt, Grosso attended the preseason camp at Florida State before leaving school on August 14.
One reason for Grosso's departure could have been about playing time, as he was one of six offensive lineman in the Seminoles' latest recruiting class.
Last season, the Blue Hens went 5-6 in the Division I-AA Colonial Athletic Association.
