USC RB Madden dealing with turf toe injury

Aug 22, 2014 - 6:29 PM Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - USC Trojans running back Tre Madden is going to be a game-time decision because of a turf toe injury for the school's season opener against Fresno State on August 30

Head coach Steve Sarkisian made the announcement on Friday.

Madden, a junior, ran for 703 yards and three touchdowns last season. He was expected to share running back duties with Javorius Allen this season.

Madden is injury prone. He missed the 2012 season with a knee injury and was slowed by hamstring injuries last year, appearing in 11 of the 14 games.
