Flood gets two-year extension at Rutgers
Sep 11, 2014 - 4:07 PM Piscataway, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Rutgers rewarded head football coach Kyle Flood with a two-year contract extension on Thursday.The Scarlet Knights are 2-0 and will be playing their first Big Ten Conference game on Saturday at home against Penn State.
"Kyle Flood is a tremendous coach for our football team and has earned the opportunity to lead us into the Big Ten and build on our program successes. With the generosity of private funding, we are pleased to invest in our head coach and our entire staff at a level more consistent with our Big Ten peers," Rutgers athletic director Julie Hermann said.
Flood is 17-11 at Rutgers, becoming the first head coach in program history to lead the team to bowl games in each of his first two years as the helm.
