Oklahoma RB Murray sidelined with dislocated kneecap
Nov 19, 2007 - 6:32 PM NORMAN, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Oklahoma will be without leading rusher DeMarco Murray for Saturday's critical Big 12 Conference contest against Oklahoma State.During Monday's Big 12 coaches' conference call, Sooners coach Bob Stoops announced that Murray dislocated his kneecap in last week's 34-27 loss to Texas Tech.
Murray, who has rushed for 764 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, sufered the injury while trying to recover an onside kick in the final minute.
The defeat to Texas Tech knocked Oklahoma out of the national championship race, but the Sooners will advance to the Big 12 title game with a victory over Oklahoma State.
The status of Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford, who was knocked out of last week's game in the first quarter with a concussion, is uncertain.
