Duke expected to announce decision on football coach Roof
Nov 26, 2007 - 4:15 PM DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Duke University has called a news conference for Monday afternoon, at which time the school will announce a decision regarding football coach Ted Roof.While the school is only confirming that the "future of the football program" will be discussed, it has been widely speculated that Roof has coached his last game at Duke.
The conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST.
The Blue Devils lost, 20-14, to North Carolina in their season finale Saturday, falling to 1-11 and 0-8 in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
Roof is 6-45 overall and 3-33 in the ACC in four seasons at Duke, which also has lost 25 straight conference games.
Roof has one year remaining on his contract.
