BYU, Baylor to play 2-game series starting in 2021
Mar 31, 2016 - 8:17 PM PROVO, Utah (AP) BYU and Baylor have agreed to play a home-and-home series beginning in 2021, the programs announced Thursday.Baylor is scheduled to host in 2021 with the Bears traveling to Provo, Utah, in 2022.
The two programs have played twice, with Baylor winning in 1983 and BYU winning in 1984.
BYU has created a challenging schedule as an independent, playing Nebraska, Boise State, UCLA, Michigan and Missouri in 2015. The 2016 schedule contains Arizona, Utah, UCLA, West Virginia, Michigan State and Mississippi State.
A home-and-home against a Big 12 program could also give BYU some leverage toward becoming the next team to join the conference, if it decides to expand.
