Oregon State S Payton leaves program
Jul 1, 2008 - 4:39 PM CORVALLIS, Oregon (Ticker) -- Oregon State senior safety Bryan Payton has left the program, the school announced Tuesday.Oregon State provided no reason for the departure of Payton, who played in 27 games during his two seasons with the Beavers, including six starts. He recorded 73 tackles and three interceptions in his Oregon State career.
"I want to thank Bryan for his contributions to our program and wish him well in his future endeavors," Oregon State coach Mike Riley said.
The Beavers open their 2008 season at Stanford on August 28.
