Miami RB James expected back vs. Duke

Oct 14, 2008 - 5:01 PM CORAL GABLES, Florida (Ticker) -- Miami coach Randy Shannon said Tuesday that running back Javarris James is expected to play this Saturday against Duke.

The cousin of Arizona Cardinals running back Edgerrin James, Javarris suffered a high left ankle sprain against Florida on September 6 and has missed the last four games.

James has rushed for 77 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries this season. He also has an 11-yard TD reception.

A junior, James most likely will be used to spell Graig Cooper, who took over as the Hurricanes' starter after James' injury.
