Report: Utah State fires football coach
Nov 17, 2008 - 7:00 AM SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- In the midst of its fourth straight losing season, Utah State fired football coach Brent Guy, according to a report in the Salt Lake City Tribune.An official announcement is expected on Monday at a press conference, which is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. EST.
Since he was hired in 2005, Guy has compiled an 8-38 record and never won more than three games in a season.
The Aggies, who have a bye this week, are coming off a 45-38 setback at Louisiana Tech on Saturday, dropping their record to 2-8 this season.
Guy will finish out the campaign, which ends on November 29 against New Mexico State.
