Georgia OL Perez arrested for DUI

Nov 27, 2008 - 5:18 PM ATHENS, Georgia (Ticker) -- Georgia center Kevin Perez has received a two-game suspension after being arrested on a DUI charge early Thursday morning.

Georgia coach Mark Richt announced the suspension following the 13th-ranked Bulldogs' morning practice.

"(Perez's) actions were not acceptable standards of behavior, and he'll pay a price for his poor judgment," Richt said.

Perez, a redshirt sophomore, has appeared in three games this season. The suspension will keep the Miami native out of Georgia's upcoming bowl game.

Georgia (9-2) closes its regular season Saturday against rival Georgia Tech.
