North Carolina WR Foster undergoes surgery
Dec 2, 2008 - 10:53 PM CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina (Ticker) -- North Carolina wide receiver Brooks Foster underwent arthroscopic knee surgery, the school announced Tuesday.The Tar Heels' second-leading receiver, Brooks had the surgery on Monday at UNC Hospitals. The procedure was performed by Dr. Tim Taft.
Brooks, who has 30 catches for 334 yards and two touchdowns, is expected to spend the next few weeks rehabbing in hopes of returning for the Tar Heels' upcoming bowl game.
The Tar Heels (8-4) finished off their regular season with a 28-20 win over Duke on Saturday.
