UConn RB Brown to return for senior year

Dec 15, 2008 - 5:57 PM STORRS, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Connecticut's Donald Brown, the leading rusher in the Football Bowl Subdivision, said Monday he will return next next year for his senior season.

Brown rushed for a school-record 1,822 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, averaging 151.8 yards per game.

"If I need my parents' help or advice, they'll give it to me," Brown told the Hartford Courant. " Right now it's my decision, and I don't see anything changing."

The Huskies, who posted a 7-5 regular-season record, face Buffalo in the International Bowl on January 3.

"I want to go to the Orange Bowl," Brown added. "And I think we can get it down next year. I really do."
