ARLINGTON, Texas (Ticker) -- The first college football game at the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium next season could involve the defending national champions.

Oklahoma, which is facing Florida in the BCS title clash Thursday, and Brigham Young will kick off their 2009 seasons at the Cowboys' $1 billion state-of-the-art facility.

"I don't think there is a better place than Texas to celebrate the kickoff of the 2009 college football season, and I don't think you will find a better stadium for watching that football action than our new home in Arlington," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said.

The contest is the first in a five-year agreement in which the Cowboys will host a college game during Labor Day weekend.

"We understand that the stadium is a showplace so it is an honor to play the first college game there," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said.

It will be only the second meeting between the schools. In the previous contest, BYU posted a 31-6 victory in the 1994 Copper Bowl.
