FLORHAM PARK, N.J.(AP) -- The New York Jets have claimed guard
Mike Fladell off waivers from the Giants.
Fladell was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent to the
Giants' practice squad last December, and was waived last
Wednesday. The 6-foot-7, 334-pound New York native played at
Rutgers from 2003-07, and started his last two seasons with the
Scarlet Knights.
The move Monday was the third waiver claim in a week by the
Jets, who added cornerback Rashad Barksdale and wide receiver
Mario Urrutia during the last few days.
