JaMarcus Russell out as Raiders QB
Oct 25, 2009 - 9:21 PM OAKLAND, Calif.(AP) -- The Oakland Raiders have pulled quarterback JaMarcus Russell in the second quarter after he committed three turnovers in the first half against the New York Jets.Bruce Gradkowski replaced Russell with the Raiders trailing 21-0 midway through the second quarter Sunday. Russell lost a fumble and threw two interceptions before leaving, giving him 13 turnovers this season.
Russell, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft, has been booed recently by the frustrated home crowd in Oakland as he has failed to complete even half his passes this season.
