Panthers get Wesley back after ban, cut Lewis
Oct 28, 2009 - 3:16 AM CHARLOTTE, N.C.(AP) -- The Carolina Panthers have waived Keith Lewis and activated fellow special teams player Dante Wesley from the reserved-suspended list.Wesley rejoined the team Tuesday after being suspended one game for launching himself into Tampa Bay returner Clifton Smith on Oct 11. Smith sustained a concussion on the play.
Lewis was signed last week to take Wesley's roster spot, but was on the inactive list in Carolina's loss to Buffalo.
