Chargers S Weddle fined $7,500 for hit
Nov 15, 2009 - 1:57 AM SAN DIEGO(AP) -- San Diego Chargers safety Eric Weddle has been fined $7,500 for unnecessary roughness for a hit in last Sunday in a win over the New York Giants.The NFL said Weddle made helmet-to-helmet contact with a defenseless receiver.
