Chiefs release WR Darling, RB Savage
Mar 3, 2010 - 9:07 PM KANSAS CITY, Mo.(AP) -- The Kansas City Chiefs have released wide receiver Devard Darling and running back Dantrell Savage.The 27-year-old Darling played for Kansas City in 2008 and spent the 2009 season on injured reserve. He previously spent four seasons with Baltimore and has 37 career receptions for 578 yards with four touchdowns.
Savage joined the Chiefs as a rookie free agent in 2008. He played in 13 games for Kansas City, recording 25 carries for 98 yards and nine receptions for 51 yards. He also had 34 kickoff returns for 793 yards, and 14 punt returns for 53 yards.
The Chiefs announced the moves Wednesday.
