DE Edwards reaches 4-year deal with Bills
Mar 17, 2010 - 8:30 PM By JOHN WAWROW AP Sports WriterORCHARD PARK, N.Y.(AP) -- Free agent defensive end Dwan Edwards has signed a four-year contract with the Buffalo Bills.
The team announced the deal Wednesday.
A person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press early Wednesday morning that the contract potentially is worth $18 million. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deal had not yet been announced by the Bills.
Edwards is a six-year NFL veteran, who played his entire career with Baltimore. He missed the entire 2008 season with a neck injury, but bounced back last year, with 56 tackles and two sacks in 18 games, including playoffs.
Edwards was a second-round draft pick out of Oregon State in 2004.
