Giants re-sign LB Blackburn
Apr 17, 2012 - 8:44 PM East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - The New York Giants re-signed linebacker Chase Blackburn on Tuesday.Blackburn, who has spent his entire seven-year career with the Giants, wasn't brought back by the team prior to the 2011 season.
The 28-year-old wasn't signed until November 30, but registered 21 tackles and one interception in five regular season games for the Giants. He collected 25 tackles in the postseason en route to a Super Bowl victory over New England.
Over the course of his career, Blackburn has 236 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks and three interceptions.
