Patriots re-sign DL Gerard Warren
May 4, 2012 - 12:00 AM Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Patriots have re-signed veteran defensive lineman Gerard Warren.He has spent the past two seasons with New England and last year saw him play 12 games and total 12 tackles and a sack.
Since coming into the league in 2001 as the third overall draft pick by Cleveland, he has played 163 games and started 137 of them.
Between Cleveland, Denver, Oakland and New England, he has totaled 467 tackles, 36 1/2 sacks, 18 passes defensed, seven forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
Also on Thursday, the team released wide receiver Tiquan Underwood. Over 19 games between New England and Jacksonville in his three seasons, he has caught 11 passes for 141 yards.
