Lions land RB Bush
Mar 13, 2013 - 5:54 PM Allen Park, MI (Sports Network) - The Detroit Lions addressed the running back position on Wednesday by agreeing on four-year pact with free agent Reggie Bush. The former USC standout is coming off a two-year stint with the Miami Dolphins and has the potential to be an explosive option out of the backfield for a Detroit passing attack which threw more than any other team in the league during 2012.
After a few injury plagued seasons in New Orleans, where he spent his first five NFL seasons, Bush missed just one game over two productive years with the Dolphins.
Between the 2011-12 campaigns, the 28-year-old rushed 443 times for 2,072 yards and 12 touchdowns, while also adding three receiving scores and 588 yards on 78 catches.
Drafted by the Saints with the second overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, Bush has accumulated 4,162 rushing yards, 372 catches for 2,730 yards and 44 total touchdowns over 91 games.
