Rams lock up Long for 4 years
Mar 18, 2013 - 10:02 PM St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Rams finally reeled in their man, agreeing to terms with offensive tackle Jake Long on a four-year contract.The Rams announced the move on their site early Monday morning, revealing the deal was consummated late Sunday night. It capped nearly a week of overtures the franchise made toward the Michigan product intended to lure him away from south Florida.
Long, the 2008 first-overall draft pick of the Dolphins, started in all of his 74 appearances since breaking into the NFL in 2008. He was a Pro Bowl selection in each of his four seasons with Miami.
