Texans bring back CB McCain
Mar 20, 2013 - 8:30 PM Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Texans have re-signed cornerback Brice McCain to a reported three-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though the Houston Chronicle confirmed it to be worth $5.25 million with $2.25 million in guaranteed money.
McCain served as the primary nickel corner for a Houston unit that ranked seventh in the NFL in total defense during last year's AFC South title run. He finished the regular season with 24 tackles, one interception and eight passes defensed over 12 games.
The 26-year-old has spent all four of his pro seasons with the Texans, who selected McCain in the sixth round of the 2009 draft.
