Seahawks agree to terms with QB Quinn

Apr 10, 2013 - 1:29 AM Renton, WA (Sports Network) - The Seattle Seahawks agreed to terms with quarterback Brady Quinn on Tuesday.

Quinn, 28, posted a career-high 56.9 completion percentage, but had just two touchdowns against eight interceptions while throwing for 1,141 yards in 10 games -- eight starts -- for the Chiefs last season. When Kansas City traded for Alex Smith on February 27, Quinn became expendable.

Prior to joining the Chiefs, he was on the Broncos roster for two seasons, but was a backup to Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow and did not play.

Selected by the Browns as the 22nd overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, Quinn has thrown for 3,043 yards with 12 touchdowns and 17 interceptions over six seasons.

The Seahawks had been searching for a backup quarterback since trading Matt Flynn to the Raiders on April 1. Other quarterbacks that the team was interested in were Seneca Wallace, who served as backup to Matt Hasselbeck in Seattle from 2003-09, former Heisman winner and first-round draft pick Matt Leinart, and Tyler Thigpen.

All four quarterbacks visited Seattle on Monday before the team eventually decided on Quinn.
