Charlotte OKs plan for Panthers stadium improvements
Apr 23, 2013 - 4:20 AM Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Charlotte's city council voted unanimously Monday night to approve an agreement to provide $87.5 million for upgrades to Bank of America Stadium in exchange for a commitment to keep the team in Charlotte for at least another six years.According to the Charlotte Observer, the Panthers will contribute $37.5 million to the renovations that will include escalators, new video and ribbon boards and other improvements to the 17-year-old stadium.
