Titans release WR Hawkins
May 1, 2013 - 11:10 PM Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - The Tennessee Titans have released wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins.He played in 52 games for the team since being drafted in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Hawkins played in seven games last season and caught five passes for 62 yards. He also had seven kickoff returns for an average of 29.3 yards.
Hawkins' best season came in 2011 when he recorded 47 receptions for 470 yards with one score.
The Titans also released safety Suaesi Tuimaunei and receiver Michael Calvin on Wednesday.
