Texans ink third-round pick Montgomery
May 24, 2013 - 3:16 PM Houston, TX (Sports Network) - The Houston Texans have signed linebacker Sam Montgomery, the team's third-round pick in last month's NFL Draft.Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Montgomery was selected with the 95th overall pick in April's draft after a standout career at LSU. He left following a junior season in which he posted eight sacks, forced three fumbles and totaled 37 tackles en route to a second straight All-SEC honor.
In 33 games at LSU, Montgomery recorded 19 sacks and forced four fumbles with one fumble recovery.
