Seahawks' McCoy has surgery for torn Achilles
May 24, 2013 - 6:21 PM Renton, WA (Sports Network) - Seattle Seahawks tight end Anthony McCoy underwent surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon.A timetable for his return was not disclosed, but recovery time is usually about 6-to-9 months.
McCoy, a sixth-round pick in the 2010 draft out of USC, is entering his fourth season with the Seahawks. He caught 18 passes for 291 yards with three touchdowns in 16 games last season, and has 31 career receptions for 437 yards and three scores in 34 games, including 14 starts.
