Seahawks waive TE McCoy
May 28, 2013 - 8:09 PM Renton, WA (Sports Network) - The Seattle Seahawks waived/injured tight end Anthony McCoy on Tuesday, less than a week after he underwent surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon.If he clears waivers, McCoy will be placed on injured reserve. The three-year pro is expected to miss up to nine months with the injury, which occurred during team offseason training activities.
A sixth-round pick of Seattle in the 2010 draft, McCoy is coming off a 2012 season in which he established career highs with 18 catches, 291 receiving yards and three touchdowns as the Seahawks' No. 2 tight end.
