Packers sign second-round pick Lacy
May 30, 2013 - 11:33 PM Green Bay, WI (Sports Network) - The Green Bay Packers agreed to terms with rookie running back Eddie Lacy, the team's second-round pick in April's NFL Draft, on Thursday.The Packers selected Lacy, the Offensive MVP of January's BCS Championship Game while at the University of Alabama, with the 61st overall choice. The former Crimson Tide standout is expected to compete with holdovers DuJuan Harris, Alex Green and James Starks for Green Bay's starting running back position during training camp.
Lacy entered the draft as a junior after putting together a stellar 2012 campaign for the Crimson Tide, during which he rushed for 1,322 yards and 17 touchdowns to earn first-team All-SEC honors.
The deal leaves UCLA defensive end Datone Jones, Green Bay's first-round pick, as the lone unsigned member of the Packers' draft class.
