Jackson returns to Seattle
Jun 14, 2013 - 12:26 PM Renton, WA (Sports Network) - The Seattle Seahawks and quarterback Tarvaris Jackson have agreed to a contract.Jackson started 14 games for the Seahawks during the 2011 season and threw for a career-high 3,091 yards with 14 touchdowns.
The Seahawks traded Jackson to Buffalo for a seventh-round draft pick last summer after Russell Wilson's emergence in training camp and the free agent acquisition of Matt Flynn.
Jackson did not see action for the Bills last season and was released earlier this week with the recently signed Kevin Kolb and first-round draft pick E.J. Manuel expected to be Buffalo's top quarterbacks.
With Wilson now the starter for Seattle and Flynn now in Oakland after a trade, Jackson will likely compete with Brady Quinn for the backup position with the Seahawks.
Prior to joining Seattle in 2011, Jackson spent his first five seasons in Minnesota, where he passed for 3,984 yards and 24 touchdowns over 36 games and 20 starts.
