Bills retain Chandler
Mar 13, 2014 - 10:34 PM Orchard Park, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Buffalo Bills tight end Scott Chandler will return for a fifth season with the team in 2014, with the club announcing it has re-signed the seven-year veteran Thursday.Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though ESPN.com reported the contract was for two years.
Chandler is coming off a 2013 season in which he set career bests with 53 catches and 655 receiving yards while scoring a pair of touchdowns. The 6- foot-7 Iowa product has recorded 134 receptions totaling 1,615 yards with 14 touchdowns over the past three campaigns.
Originally acquired by the Bills off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys in December of 2010, Chandler holds Buffalo's record for consecutive games with a catch by a tight end (32) and is the only player at the position in team history to put together back-to-back seasons of 500 or more receiving yards.
