Cotchery heads to Carolina
Mar 20, 2014 - 7:36 PM Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Carolina Panthers have signed wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery to a two-year contract.Financial terms were not disclosed.
Cotchery spent the past three seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers after playing his first seven years with the New York Jets. He had 46 catches for 602 yards with a career-high 10 touchdowns last season.
The 31-year-old North Carolina State product has 437 catches for 5,558 yards and 30 touchdowns in his career.
Cotchery will help fill a major void at receiver for the Panthers, who released Steve Smith last week and lost Ted Ginn and Brandon LaFell to free agency.
