Injuries pile up for Redskins
Aug 19, 2007 - 2:04 AM WASHINGTON (Ticker) - Washington Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell and linebacker Marcus Washington both were injured in Saturday's preseason contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers.Campbell, the team's starting quarterback, took a hard shot to the knee by Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel in the second quarter. He lay on the ground for several minutes before being taken to the locker room.
Keisel drew a roughing-the-passing penalty on the play.
Campbell returned to the sideline for the second half with his knee wrapped.
Washington, an eighth-year linebacker, suffered a dislocated right elbow that knocked him from the game.
Backup wide receiver Mike Espy also left the game with a left knee sprain and will not return.
No one has shouted yet.
