Saints retain WR Meachem
Apr 18, 2014 - 4:36 PM Metairie, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - The New Orleans Saints re-signed wide receiver Robert Meachem to a one-year contract on Friday.Meachem has spent all but one of his seven NFL seasons with the Saints, who used a first-round pick on the Tennessee product in the 2007 draft. He returned to New Orleans last season after playing for San Diego in 2012.
The 29-year-old veteran has caught 171 passes for 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns in 92 career games. He had 16 catches for 324 yards with two scores in 15 games last year.
