Dolphins sign first-round pick James

Jun 19, 2014 - 9:04 PM Davie, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Miami Dolphins inked their 2014 first- round pick, offensive tackle Ja'Wuan James on Thursday.

No terms were disclosed by the team, but the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported that James, taken with the 19th pick, secured a four-year deal with a fifth-year option.

James started each of his 49 games at the University of Tennessee at right tackle, setting a new program record and tied for the school's all-time record for starts by an offensive lineman.

In addition, the 6-foot-6, 318-pounder from Suwanee, Georgia helped the Volunteers rack up 2,261 rushing yards in 2013, the most since 2004.
