Watkins, Mosley named October's top rookies
Oct 30, 2014 - 6:25 PM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins and Baltimore Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley were named the Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Month for October Thursday.Watkins, a first-round selection out of Clemson, led all rookies with 393 receiving yards on 21 receptions with three touchdowns, which tied for the most among NFL rookies for the month.
He posted at least 87 receiving yards in three of four games this month, including two 100-yard performances, the most among NFL rookies in October.
Mosley, a first-round selection out of Alabama, started all four games and posted 42 tackles, third amongst all NFL players, with two interceptions for the month. He led the team in tackles in three of four games this month, including a career-high 15 tackles against Indianapolis in Week 5 and 13 tackles against Cincinnati in Week 8.
