Hill set to return as Rams' starting QB

Nov 12, 2014 - 9:05 PM St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - St. Louis Rams quarterback Shaun Hill will return to the starter's role for Sunday's game against Denver.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher decided to make the switch back to his original starter after Austin Davis struggled in the fourth quarter of last week's game against Arizona.

In the 31-14 loss to the Cardinals, Davis committed three fourth-quarter turnovers, two of which were returned for touchdowns.

In nine games this season, including eight starts, Davis completed 180-of-284 passes for 2,001 yards with 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also lost three fumbles.

Hill was named the St. Louis starting quarterback prior to the season after Sam Bradford tore his left ACL in the preseason. Hill left the Week 1 game against Minnesota with a thigh injury after completing 8-of-13 passes for 81 yards with an interception in the 34-6 loss.
