Bills end Toronto Series agreement

Dec 3, 2014 - 2:27 PM Orchard Park, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Bills have ended their agreement to play home games in Toronto.

The Bills had an agreement with Rogers Media through 2017, and had moved a home game from Ralph Wilson Stadium to the Rogers Centre for six years from 2008 through 2013.

However, in March, the two sides announced a suspension of the agreement for the 2014 campaign and on Wednesday decided to terminate the remainder of the contract.

"We greatly appreciate the support we've received over the past seven years from all of the tremendous people at Rogers Communications," said Bills president Russ Brandon in a statement Wednesday. "We will continue to work hard to solidify our footprint in Southern Ontario. Our fan base in this region remains extremely important to our organization and their support has been well documented."

The Bills began playing games in Toronto in 2008, matching up against the Steelers in the preseason and the Dolphins during the regular season. The 2013 regular-season game against Atlanta drew 38,969 fans for the Falcons' 34-31 overtime win.
